Step By Step How to Get Iqama of New Born Baby in Saudi Arabia

For a new baby born in Saudi Arabia, Getting Iqama requires various steps before reaching to the stage of getting iqama. In this post, I will summarize all steps that you need in order to get iqama of your baby born in Saudi Arabia.

Step 1: Get Birth Notification from Hospital and Birth Certificate from Ahwal Madani

Step 2: Get Ahwal Madani Birth Certificate Attested from MOFA

Step 3: Get National Identity and Passport of Your Baby

For some countries (e.g. Pakistan), you first need to get National Identity Card (NICOP) for your baby to register your baby as a citizen of the country and only then you can proceed to get passport issued for your baby. I have already explained in detail how to apply online and get NICOP for you baby as a Pakistani. For other countries, steps to get national identity card might be different. Step 4: Pay Dependent Fees of your New Born Baby for Iqama Issuance

For an expatriate baby born in Saudi Arabia, you need to pay dependent fees for the baby which is calculated based on the date of birth and iqama expiry date of sponsor (father/mother whoever is the sponsor of family). Step 5: Prepare All Documents Required for Iqama of New Born Baby

You need to prepare a file with all the documents which are needed in order to proceed to Jawazat Office for getting iqama printed for your new born baby.

List of Documents Required for Iqama of New Born Baby in Saudi Arabia

1. Original Passport of Baby
2. Original Birth Certificate of Baby Issued by Ahwal Madani and Attested by MOFA.
3. 2 Pictures of Baby with White Background.
4. Iqama Form Duly filled and stamped by your Company/Kafeel.
5. Payment Slip/Print of dependent fees paid by you.
6. Copy of Insurance Card of baby.
7. Original Passports of Parents (Just in case if they ask for)
8. Original Iqama of Parents (Just if needed)
9. Copy of Parent’s Iqama.
10. Copy of Parent’s passport.

Upload Documents & Apply for New-Born Iqama Using Absher

You need to upload these documents through Absher by choosing My Services–>General Services–>Messages and Documents.

Now you need to fill the form. In the To drop down list, choose General Directorate of Passports, In the Service name choose اضافة مولود and in the subject write a subject for your message (e.g. you can write: Documents for New-Born Baby Iqama)

Write a message and then write a comment for attachment. Don’t use any special characters as well as dots (.) or commas (,) in your message or subject.

You need to upload above mentioned documents by creating a PDF file.

 

Once you have uploaded the documents you will receive a message with reference number. Now wait for another message in a day or two (may vary) and you should be able to see passport information of your baby updated in Absher. Even if picture is not updated, you don’t need to worry about as picture will get updated later once you visit Jawazat and get a print of your baby’s iqama.

Step 6: Visit Jawazat Office for Iqama Of New Born Baby

With all the documents ready in a file (as stated above), you may now go to Jawazat Office in their working hours for getting iqama of your baby printed. For this purpose you need to book an appointment with Jawazat Using Absher. I have explained in another article how to book Jawazat Appointment for Iqama Print of a New-Born baby.

If all the documents are provided and everything is fine, just provide the file to the staff at respective counter and the process in Jawazat Office will take just minutes and within half an hour or less, you will be provided iqama of your baby.

For people living in Jeddah, Jawazat Office in Rehab Location which is the main passport office is the best place to visit and ideally you should go in the morning hours to get your job done in a convenient and timely manner.
