For extending family visit visa in Saudi Arabia, now it is mandatory to have a valid health insurance for the duration you wish to extend the visa and you are not able to process visa extension request without purchasing/extending the health insurance policy for each family visitor. Requirements for Extension of health Insurance to Extend Visit Visa
Below are the pre-requisites and important notes for you to keep in mind while applying for health insurance extension using Al-Rajhi Takaful.
* Visitor on a family visit visa must be present in the Kingdom.
* All information entered including Passport, visa, border number etc. should be correct as your policy will not get extended with any incorrect details entered.
* Your extended health insurance policy will be uploaded to CCHI only if all the details entered are correct.
* You should choose health insurance policy effective date same as Visa expiry date mentioned in Absher.
Steps to Extend Health Insurance for Visit Visa Extension in Saudi Arabia
Whole process of extending health insurance for visit visa extension is online and you can do it at your own convenience without worrying to visit any offices physically.
Just visit Al Rajhi Takaful online service to initiate the process of extending health insurance of your loved ones for whom you are planning to extend visit visa.
On Rajhi Takaful site, you will be prompted to enter Passport number and visa number. Visa number can be found on the stamped visa on the visitor’s passport or you can get it directly from your Absher account.
Once you enter the above details regarding visa and passport, you will get all details about the health policy of the visitor. To extend the health insurance policy for any visitor, you need to click on Modify/Cancel field on this page.
You will need to accept a declaration form. Read the form and if you agree to the terms mentioned, just accept and you will proceed to the subsequent step.
In this step, you will be asked to enter border number (available on passport visa page and also in Absher), visa extension duration, policy effective date and your email address. Please note that policy effective date chosen should be same as visitor’s visa expiry date so that new policy takes effect same day.
When you will click on Calculate Premium button above, system will automatically calculate the fees to be paid for the extension of medical insurance. You will have to pay the fees through SADAD or through your debit/credit card. After your policy extension has been completed, you should get an email on the given address and then you should be all good to proceed with your visit visa extension process through Absher.
