Going Out for Emergency During Curfew in Saudi Arabia: How to Get Permit

In order to curb the spread of Covid-19 Corona Virus, Saudi Arabian authorities have taken various steps including enforcement of curfew in various cities for different time windows restricting movement of people. During the time of curfew it is not allowed to roam around or go out of your home in public places unless you have an emergency and you got a formal permission from authorities. For emergency cases, you can still go out by getting a formal permit from authorities by using Afseni Application which is an application provided by Saudi Red Crescent.

In this post, I will explain step by step process to get permission in case of emergency during curfew in Saudi Arabia.

Step by Step Process to Get Permit for Going Out During Emergency Using Asfeni Application

1. Download Saudi Red Crescent App (Asfeni).

2. Sign up with your personal details.

3. Select ‘Transfer During Curfew’. Choose the type of transfer desired. E.g. If you want to visit a nearest hospital during curfew for an emergency, choose Nearest Hospital Option.

4. Enter medical emergency details, and the details of carrier including vehicle used.

5. Wait for SMS link from public security. That link will contain a temporary permit valid for 5 hrs.
