Ministry of Hajj & Umrah in Saudi Arabia has come up with innovative and modern solutions for the Mutamers who wish to visit Holy Cities of Makkah and Madina and perform Umrah and other religious visits during current hard times of corona covid-19 pandemic. For this purpose, a mobile Application with the name Eatmarna (اعتمرنا) has been launched by Ministry of Hajj & Umrah which provides options to get Umrah Permit and visits for Holy Makkah and Holy Madina online through a few clicks on mobile app.
In this post, we will explain how to book Umrah Appointment using Eatmarna Mobile Application and how to book appointment to visit Holy Makkah or Holy Madina for prayers and visiting Rawda Mubarak in Madina.
How to Book for Umrah & Get Umrah Permit Using Eatmarna Mobile App

Eatmarna Mobile App is available on both Google Playstore and Apple Store for android and apple users and first thing you need to do is to download the app and get it installed on your phone.
Once you have installed application, you need to register by providing your iqama and Tawakalna credentials. It is mandatory that you should have already a Tawakalna registration as Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications are integrated in order to ensure that people are provided with Umrah bookings only if they are free from corona virus.
You will receive an OTP (one time password) code on your mobile number and once OTP is verified and your registration is completed, you will be able to proceed with the application.
In order to book an Umrah Appointment, on Permit Request screen, you will have to choose Umrah and then select person (yourself or your companions) for which you want Umrah permit. This screen also shows options to add companion using which you can add your dependents as well. However, note that it is mandatory to have Tawakkalna registration and number should be registered for Tawakalna and only then you can add companion. We have explained in another post, how to add companion in Eatmarna application.
After selection person(s) for Umrah Permit booking, you will see a calendar with both Hijri and Georgian options and any dates with available slots will be shown in black and those dates with no available slots will be shown in grey.
If you find a date with available slot, click on it and then you will be provided with available time windows (currently you have option of 3 hours time window).
You also need to select assembly point and if you wish, you can opt for paid transportation service as well.
Once a permit has been issued to you, you can see it in Permits tab as well and you also have option to cancel any issued permit.
How to Get Permit for Praying in Grand Mosque in Makkah
Eatmarna app also provides options to book and apply for permits to pray in Holy Makkah. For this purpose on Permit Request page select Praying in the Grand Mosque and then choose the person(s) in companion list and continue. In the next screen you will see a calendar and all available dates will be shown and once you click on an available date, you will be asked to choose which Prayer you want to book for.
Once you select a prayer (e.g. Fajr Prayer), you will have to choose Assembly Point next, check the instructions checkbox after reading instructions and then click on Issuing Permit.
How to Get Permit for Prophet Mosque (Masjid Nabvi) Visit
The Process to get a permit for visiting Prophet Mosque is also similar and you will have to choose Prophet Vist on Permit Request page, then select the companion and then select the date and time slot for your visit, select assembly point and you will be able to get the permit accordingly.
In similar way, you can also get a permit for Praying in the Noble Rawda. Application provides separate options to book for male and females for praying in the Noble Rawdah.
