My Experience of Getting Chamber of Commerce Attestation in Jeddah

Chamber of Commerce known as Ghurfa Tajaria in Arabic is the entity which is responsible for attestation of different type of documents including applications for family visit visa. Chamber of Commerce Attestation is very important for any legal documents in Saudi Arabia as most of the cases, only those documents attested from chamber of commerce are legally accepted and considered valid.

For family visit visa, once you have applied on MOFA site and got the application form signed and stamped by your sponsor, you need to visit chamber of commerce to get it attested and only then subsequent steps for visa issuance (Yellow paper issuance) are started from MOFA side.

I recently applied for family visit visa for my mother-in-law and in this post, I will share my experience how I got application attested from Chamber of Commerce in Serafi Mega Mall in Jeddah.

Location of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Serafi Mega Mall

There are multiple offices of Chamber of Commerce in Jeddah and you can opt for any of them. However, I decided to visit Serafi Mall office as it is considered by majority of reviewers on Google as the most convenient in terms of its location, processing speed and crowd ratio. This office is located on the 2nd floor of Serafi Mall in Faisaliyya district near King Fahad Road.

Below is the exact map location for this office:

You can find parking slot for your car quite conveniently at rooftop parking or else in the parking slots outside the mall.

I drove from King Abdul Aziz road to this office Through Sari Road and then through King Fahad Road at around 10AM and found not much traffic and reached in a matter of just 15 to 20 minutes. For some reasons, rooftop parking was blocked so I parked outside the mall as there was ample space there.

How to Get Your documents attested in Jeddah Chamber of Commerce in Serafi Mall

Once you reach the office of Ghurfa Tajaria (chamber of commerce) in Serafi Mall at Level 2, you need to get a token from the token machine and then you can sit and wait for your turn. For me, once I got the token, around 20 people were waiting before my turn so I decided to sit and wait. If you get a longer queue, you can always take the token and spend some time roaming around in the mall as it is well air-conditioned and has many shops for your attraction.

For me, the wait time was just around 10 minutes or even less as two staff members were very actively and quickly processing the requests. Once my token number was announced and flashed on the screen, I went to the counter and handed over the visa application form to the staff. He asked me to show my Iqama and then he asked me to pay 35 SAR fees. The staff was good in English as well so I had no issues communicating with him. In a couple of minutes he completed my application attestation and after putting a stamp on it, he handed it over back to me and told that the process is done.

Once you are done with Chamber of commerce attestation, your application on MOFA site will show the details about certification body as below:
