Steps to Get PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) in Saudi Arabia as an Expatriate

We will explain the process here with the experience as a Pakistani Expatriate but similar process can be followed by expatriates from other nationalities as well with minor possible differences.

1. Go to Pakistani embassy/consulate in any working day before 12pm. Get ticket from reception counter for Police clearance Letter of endorsement. Take iqama copy, passport copy and passport size photograph with you. They will give you a form to fill. You should know your first date of arrival of your work visa in Saudi Arabia while filling this form.

2. Once you have duly filled the form, they will take your application and return the endorsement letter in Arabic at 1pm from same counter. It is better reach embassy by 10am to submit, stay there and finally collect at 1pm, so that multiple trips can be avoided

3. Take your endorsement letter to MOFA (make sure you pay 30 SAR online and take the print out). Also passport and iqama copy must be with you. They will attest the letter same time.

4. Now go to CID (Crime Investigation Department) office in your resident city. They will collect the letter and give you receipt. They will inform you it will take 2 days or so.

5. After 2 days, collect the Police clearance certificate from CID office. Now make translation to English as you will need English normally.

6. Take the original Arabic certificate and also English PCC to MOFA again for stamp to make it legal (make sure you pay 30 SAR online and take the print out)

For this whole process, Spare about a week at least for the completion of entire process.
