Umrah for international travellers is going to resume from 1st of Muharram 1443 which falls on 9th of August as per Georgian Calendar. Resumption of Umrah for people outside KSA is a sign of hope and happiness for faithful Muslims across the globe.
Who Can Go for Umrah from 1st Muharram 1443 from Outside Saudi Arabia?
According to various media sources including Haramain Sharifain Twitter account, International Umrah will start for Muslims from outside KSA who fulfil following conditions:
- Those who are fully vaccinated and are considered as full immune for Covid-19. In order to be fully vaccinated, Umrah travellers must have 2 doses of approved vaccines (e.g. Pfizer, Astrazeneca, Moderna) or a dose of Single shot vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) and also those who have taken a booster shot of any of these vaccines after two doses of chinese vaccines (Sinopharm, Sinovac).
It is important to mention here that some sources have mentioned that foreign Pligrims for Umrah will be allowed from all countries except for those countries which have travel ban imposed from Saudi Arabia to curb the spread of Corona virus including India, Pakistan and various other countries.
