In this article, we will explain how to book Vaccine Appointment using Sehaty app in Saudi Arabia to get free vaccine. Currently two variants of WHO approved vaccines–Pfizer and AstraZeneca are administered in Saudi Arabia in a large number of health facilities throughout the kingdom.
How to Book Appointment for Vaccine Using Sehaty Application
In order to book an appointment for free Covid 19 Corona vaccine in Saudi Arabia, you need to download and install Sehaty Application which is available in AppStore, PlayStore and Huawei Store for mobile users. Once you have installed Sehaty App, next you need to create your account which is a simple process.
Once you are registered and logged in to Sehaty App, you can register for Vaccine by clicking on the option COVID-19 Vaccine. Next you need to choose the option Book View Appointments.
You will be asked to answer some questions related to your health condition in order to decide about your eligibility for the vaccination.
In case if you are eligible for vaccination for Covid-19, you will be able to book an appointment for vaccine by selecting health centres available in the list. Based on your Location, you will see vaccine centers which are in your region and you will be able to see the distance as well.
If you press on any of the health center, in case if a time slot is available, you will see the date and then the available time windows.
Once you have selected a time slot and completed your booking, you will receive a message on your mobile with the confirmation and a map location link for the health center along with the time details.
You will also see your booking status and details on Sehaty App. Covid 19 Vaccine appointment will be shown as below in Sehaty App which also provides you option to cancel your appointment.
How to Choose Between Pfizer and AstraZeneca Vaccine?
In Saudi Arabia two types of vaccines are currently used–Pfizer and AstraZeneca where Pfizer second dose is administered after 3 weeks while AstraZeneca second dose is given after 80 days. When booking for Vaccine appointment using Sehaty, you can’t choose which type of vaccine you want rather it is automatically decided by the system based on your selected vaccine center.
Most of the centers are giving AstraZeneca vaccine but there are some centers which do provide PFizer vaccine. For Example Pfizer vaccine in Jeddah is in King Abdul Aziz Airport Center and if you get an appointment in King Abdul Aziz Airport, you will be able to confirm that by seeing second appointment date in Sehaty which will be somewhere at around 3 weeks after first dose date.
Health Status in Tawakkalna After Getting Vaccine Dose
After getting first dose of vaccine, after around 14 days your immunization status in Tawakkalna will change as First dose immunized and it will change to Immunized after you have completed both doses of vaccine.
You can download your medical report from Sehaty app after getting vaccinated.
